Looking at the World Series matchup, the Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays have a great opportunity to win this.
The Brewers are a great team from top to bottom and don’t make many mistakes, while the Rays keep winning with elite starting pitching, timely hitting, and a superstar in Junior Caminero.
Caminero might be one of the better players in Major League Baseball, but unfortunately, outside of fans who truly follow the game, he doesn’t get as much hype as he deserves.
As weird as that might sound for a guy who hit 42 home runs this season and 45 last year, it feels like Caminero doesn’t get the respect he deserves.
Misiorowski is well known, even to casual fans, because of how hard he throws. He’s a guy who’s going to consistently throw 100-plus miles per hour.
But here’s the thing: Caminero is arguably the best hitter in Major League Baseball on high-velocity pitches. According to BaseballThings.com, he’s hitting .358 with a ridiculous .580 OPS on pitches 96-plus miles per hour.
Baseball fans are in for a treat when these two meet, as Misiorowski will toe the rubber in Game 1.
They’ve gone at it before, and Misiorowski has struck Caminero out twice in three at-bats, with the Rays slugger failing to get a hit. Caminero keeps proving he can step up in big moments, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see him get Misiorowski this time around.
