Kelsey Plum is in her first season with the Los Angeles Sparks. The 30-year-old point guard, who was the top overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft, played with the Las Vegas Aces through the 2024 season.
With the Aces, Plum won two WNBA championships and made the All-Star Game three times. In 2022, she was named MVP of the All-Star Game.

Plum joined the Sparks following a three-team trade involving Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Seattle.
On Saturday, as she and her teammates faced the Indiana Fever for the second time in nine days, she knocked down an impressive shot over the outstretched Natasha Howard in the second quarter.
The Sparks’ social media team loved the moment and posted the following clip:
Love it when she 1, 2 steps. 😮💨@Kelseyplum10 x @WNBA pic.twitter.com/TfqyqTBAlW

Just a few minutes later, Plum was fouled while on the move. Instead of jumping right up, she dropped to the floor and did several push-ups to show she was just fine. The moment drew laughs from courtside fans.
Absolutely no one.

Plum entered Saturday’s game averaging 20.1 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game. The 30-year-old played her college basketball at the University of Washington, so staying on the West Coast has been a welcome part of her move to Los Angeles.
When the Sparks and Fever met on June 26, Plum played 35 minutes and scored 21 points, along with three rebounds and six assists. Since then, she scored 22 points against Chicago on June 29 and had 13 against the Liberty on Thursday.
In Saturday’s game against Indiana, Caitlin Clark missed her fifth straight game. Aari McDonald once again started in her place for the Fever.
After this game, the Sparks return home to play their first home game since June 29. Los Angeles will host the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday.
