The Washington Wizards will open up the regular season with a home matchup against the Bucks taking place Wednesday night.
After a five-year playoff drought, Washington is looking to turn the page, and several offseason additions could make it possible this season. The Wizards snagged BYU’s AJ Dybantsa as the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, though the rookie suffered an ankle sprain in a matchup against the Pelicans on Friday. Dybantsa is currently considered day-to-day.
Meanwhile, the Bucks are trying to find their new identity after trading away long-time star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Milwaukee is certainly in a rebuilding phase, with new head coach Taylor Jenkins basically starting from scratch. Guard Tyler Herro has been a solid addition though, contributing 25 points in the team’s preseason win over Indiana.
