What a great win for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, as they took down the Chicago Bears 31-7. No matter what anyone wants to say about Caleb Williams not playing, the Packers looked absolutely incredible and deserve a lot of credit for what they did on both sides of the ball.
Kudos to quarterback Jordan Love for quieting some doubters, too, as he might have had the best game of his NFL career, going 25 of 31 for 367 yards and two touchdowns.
To make matters even more impressive, Love made some Packers history on Sunday.
According to one writer, his 367 yards were the most against the Bears in a Lambeau Field game in team history.
“Love completed 25 of 31 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns without an interception. His passing total set a franchise record for the most yards by a Packers quarterback against the Bears in a game at Lambeau Field,” Clark Garret Alvarez wrote.
Love obviously won’t be able to play this way every week, but if he can stay as composed as he was, especially with the run game still not great, the Packers will be one of the most terrifying teams in football to face week in and week out.
It’s even more worrisome for other teams to think about how good the Packers will be once this run game is fixed.
If Love can do this with a minimal run game, it’s scary to think about what he could be if this is who he is now.
