The Atlanta Falcons have a mystery brewing with tight end Kyle Pitts.
Through two offensive drives, Pitts has barely been on the field.
In fact, the ESPN broadcast noted he has only seen the field for one snap thus far.
Instead, the Falcons have deployed Charlie Woerner and Austin Hooper.
Did Falcons bench Kyle Pitts?
ESPN reported that the Falcons said Pitts is not injured, so that’s not the cause of his lack of playing time on Monday night.
While we don’t have an exact answer yet, we know Pitts has just two catches for 20 yards through three games, so he is struggling mightily to get going this season.
We figured Pitts would start to rebound in Week 3 after Michael Penix Jr. got back and replaced Cooper Rush, who played terrible in his two starts.
But that did not happen and instead Pitts had just one catch for five yards.
We’ll continue to be on the lookout for a reason behind Pitts barely playing.
The mystery surrounding Pitts comes after an offseason in which he received three-year, $53 million contract extension from Atlanta.
Safe to say, the Falcons are not getting their money’s worth over the first quarter of the 2026 season.
