Passion and intensity is palpable throughout the World Baseball Classic, but when the stakes are highest, emotions will be on full display.

After pool play, the World Baseball Classic comes down to seven win-or-go-home games. The top two teams in each pool all advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face teams from another pool in hopes of securing a trip to the semifinals.

To face each other again, the U.S. and Japan will need to handle their own business first.
