A former Baltimore Ravens‘ first-round pick is calling it a career.
He’s part of a fascinating recent lineage of Baltimore tight ends, and now his NFL days are over.
The retiring tight end? Hayden Hurst.

Hurst calls it quits at age 32.
The Ravens took him No. 25 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft out of South Carolina.
He played the first two seasons of his career with the Ravens, catching a combined 43 passes for 512 yards and three touchdowns.
His next two seasons were with the Atlanta Falcons, including the best campaign of his career in 2020 with 56 grabs for 571 yards and six TDs. He added 26 for 221 and three in 2021.
Then it was a year in Cincinnati with the Bengals, 52 catches for 414 yards and two scores.
He played 2023 with the Panthers, grabbing 18 passes for 184 yards and a score.
He added eight catches for 73 yards for the Chargers in 2024, then never got on the field in 2025.
In all, Hurst totaled 88 NFL games with 203 catches for 1,975 yards and 15 TDs.
Now, he moves on to the next chapter of his life.
