The Penn State Nittany Lions will be well represented at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Cleveland.
They’ve dominated, as usual, at the Big Ten Championships this weekend to ensure they’re sending 10 wrestlers to the national tournament.
Nine Nittany Lions had already qualified after their action on Saturday:
- Luke Lilledahl 125
- Marcus Blaze 133
- Shayne Van Ness 149
- PJ Duke 157
- Mitchell Mesenbrink 165
- Levi Haines 174
- Rocco Welsh 184
- Josh Barr 197
- Cole Mirasola 285

Braeden Davis went 1-1 on Saturday and needed a win in Sunday’s seventh-place match to earn qualification for himself.
Davis got it done with an 8-1 win that included four minutes of riding time in the early afternoon on Sunday.
The rest of that list will wrestle for Big Ten titles on Sunday.
The championship tournament is taking place at the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State, so it’s a home-mat advantage for the Nittany Lions, too.
The NCAA Wrestling Championships will be held from Thursday, March 19 through Saturday, March 21 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. That’s the home arena of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
There’ll be plenty of Penn State representation there.
