Giannis Antetokounmpo is best known for dominating NBA courts, but rapper Lil Yachty believes the Milwaukee Bucks superstar could also thrive in a very different arena.

After sitting near Antetokounmpo at WWE’s Elimination Chamber event, Yachty told TMZ Sports that the two-time MVP has the personality and presence to succeed in professional wrestling.

Yachty spent much of the event seated next to Antetokounmpo and his brother Thanasis, observing the action from ringside. By the end of the night, the Atlanta rapper walked away impressed not only by Antetokounmpo’s star power but also by his demeanor. “He’s awesome, man. He’s so cool,” Yachty said. “He’d be a killer wrestler.”

What caught Yachty’s attention most wasn’t the spectacle inside the ring, but the way Antetokounmpo interacted with his children during the show.

According to the rapper, watching the NBA star balance family time with a high-profile public event stood out. “He’s a super family man. A great father,” Yachty said. “Just sitting next to him, I saw how he handled his kids and how much they loved him. It was awesome to see that connection in real life.”

Yachty noted that he takes a more private approach when it comes to family life. “I personally don’t do the public with my child,” he said. “I fear taking my kid out around cameras. People want it and they have no respect. People are weird.”

Because of that concern, the rapper said he typically keeps family time away from public events and red carpets.

The WWE appearance itself has already generated attention across sports and entertainment circles. Antetokounmpo attended the Elimination Chamber show with Thanasis while recovering from a calf injury that has kept him out of recent games. During the broadcast, longtime WWE commentator Michael Cole even made a public plea for the Bucks star to join the New York Knicks, telling him over the arena microphone, “Please, Giannis, please come to New York. Please come to the Garden.”

Antetokounmpo’s name has remained a frequent topic in NBA discussions this year, though no trade involving the forward has materialized. Off the court, the 10-time All-Star has continued expanding his business interests.

Through his family-run company Ante, he and his brothers recently purchased Harmony Apartments, a newly built 56-unit residential complex in Chicago for more than $21 million. The investment is part of a larger real estate push that has included properties in Wisconsin and Brooklyn.
