Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue model Jasmine Sanders knows how to work a bathing suit. And the legendary brand took to social media to show off one of her most iconic looks.
In a feature about “strappy” suits, hers was the strappiest — and easily made with less fabric than most bikinis.
“These chic SI Swimsuit looks redefined classic black one-pieces with daring details,” SI Swim captioned the photo, in a Tuesday, March 3 share to X (formerly Twitter).
The accompanying article also features gymnastics phenom (and longtime girlfriend of Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes) Livvy Dunne, (the most) decorated Olympic female freestyle skier Eileen Gu and WNBA star Hailey Van Lith.
Of Sanders, who was photographed for the current issue, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit says, “Sanders sparkled in Switzerland while modeling this sensationally strappy one-piece from celeb-loved designer Mugler. Crafted with a mix of opaque and semi-sheer fabrics, there’s no denying that the asymmetrical, layered cutouts threw the idea of a black one-piece being ‘boring’ right out the metaphorical window.”

The article compared the black one-piece to the “little black dress,” every girl’s closet staple.
“After all, what’s a black one-piece if not the ‘little black dress’ of the swimwear world?” asks the outlet.
This was Sanders’ sixth consecutive time in Sports Illustrated’s iconic swimsuit issue, after winning Rookie of the Year in 2019.
