ETIHAD STADIUM, MANCHESTER — Manchester City and Arsenal are both in action on a crucial midweek round in the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola’s men host Nottingham Forest, aiming to make a dent in Arsenal’s five-point lead if Mikel Arteta’s side slip up at Brighton. City also have a game in hand.

Unlike last season, Forest’s concerns reside very much at the other end of the table as they sit fourth from bottom. If they lose to City and West Ham win at Fulham, Vitor Pereira’s side will finish the evening in the relegation zone.

City needed a late winner from Rayan Cherki when they claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture in late December.

Aside from when they play one another her on April 19, this will probably be the last time this season that the two title contenders kick off at the same time. It adds a delicious extra ingredient to a race that has already come to feel tense this far from the finish line.

Haaland turned his ankle in training prior to the 1-0 win over Leeds United. O’Reilly was substituted during the second half at Elland Road in obvious discomfort.
