With four weeks of the 2025 CFL season in the books, only two undefeated teams remain (the 4-0 Roughriders and 3-0 Blue Bombers). The Alouettes (3-1) are the only winning team in the entire East Division. Saskatchewan will get Week 5 off, but the rest of the league will be in action this weekend.
One of the games of the weekend kicks off Thursday, when the reigning West Division-champion Blue Bombers visit stud running back Dedrick Mills and the Calgary Stampeders (2-1). These rivals split their 2024 season series, 1-1, with each game decided by four points or fewer. Calgary had last week off to prepare for Winnipeg QB Zach Collaros and wide receiver Nic Demski, both of whom shined last weekend against Edmonton.
The defending-champion Argonauts (1-3) host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1-2) on Friday, hoping to carry over momentum from Toronto’s first win of the season last week against the Redblacks (1-3). Ottawa will visit the winless Edmonton Elks (0-3) in a basement brawl on Sunday evening.
The Alouettes, who dominated the East through the first three weeks but suffered their first loss in Week 4, host the BC Lions (1-3) on Saturday night. Montreal QB Davis Alexander missed last week with a hamstring injury, and the Tiger-Cats capitalized with a 35-17 victory. PFF’s CFL Player of the Month will be sorely missed if he can’t suit up again this weekend.
