Two Laver Cup veterans have committed to the 2026 event, bringing the total to four Top 10 players who will be in London for the ninth edition of the tournament in September.
World No. 4 Alexander Zverev and World No. 6 Alex de Minaur announced Thursday they will be back to represent Team Europe and Team World, respectively, at London’s O2 Arena from Sep. 25-27. World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz (Team Europe) and World No. 8 Taylor Fritz (Team World) have already committed, giving Team Europe captain Yannick Noah and Team World captain Andre Agassi a strong start to building their six-man rosters.
This will be Zverev’s seventh Laver Cup appearance, the most of any player in the event’s history. He carries a 7-4 record in singles, 2-3 in doubles and has won more career points than any other player.
Team Europe holds a 5-3 edge over Team World, and Zverev has been a part of all five of Europe’s victories. His first team loss came last year in San Francisco, where he fell to Fritz in the deciding match on Sunday.
“I always love being part of the Laver Cup,” Zverev said in a statement. “The team atmosphere is incredible and the intensity is unlike anything else we play all year.”
Zverev missed the historic 2022 Laver Cup at O2 Arena when Roger Federer played his final ATP match, but the German won the ATP Finals in 2018 in the same building. It is one of two ATP Finals he has won.
“London is a great tennis city and The O2 is one of the most special stadiums in the world for me and has already delivered some unforgettable moments for this event. I’m excited to return and hopefully we can win the title back for Team Europe.”

De Minaur is making his third Laver Cup appearance and has been part of winning sides in both his appearances in 2022 and last year in San Francisco. De Minaur initially was not going to play in last year’s event, citing fatigue from the season, but he reversed course and became one of Team World’s most valuable contributors. He won a singles match over Zverev and a doubles match on Saturday, then another singles matchon Sunday, which set Fritz up for the winner.
“Laver Cup is one of the most intense and exciting weeks on the calendar,” de Minaur said in a statement. “Playing in London in 2022 was a special moment for our team, and San Francisco showed what this group is capable of. I loved playing under Andre last year and I’m really looking forward to getting back out there in London with him and the team.”
De Minaur is 3-0 all-time in singles at the event, the second-most wins without a loss behind Federer, who was 6-0.
“Alex is a fierce competitor and the consummate professional,” Agassi said in a statement. “Our week together in San Francisco gave me an even greater appreciation for him and what he brings to the team. I’m extremely excited to have him back for Team World.”
Each roster has four spots remaining and will be filled through rankings and captains’ picks. Team World has won three of the last four matchups and pulled off an upset last year in Agassi’s first year as captain despite late withdrawals from Ben Shelton (injury), Tommy Paul (injury) and Francis Tiafoe (personal).
