Figure skating has, predictably, proven to be a fan favorite throughout the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Ilia Malinin, Madison Chock, Evan Bates and Yuma Kagiyama have shined atop the glistening Milano Ice Center surface. On Sunday and Monday, more talents will spill onto the ice, with pairs set to introduce the world to more figure skating standouts.

This year’s competition features an open field. German pairing Minerva Fabienne Hase and Nikita Volodin and Japanese duo Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara are expected to compete for gold. Italians Sara Conti and Niccolo Macii could find success in their home country — they finished second in last year’s World Championships.

Americans Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea took home gold in the team event. But they’re not expected to contend for a podium place, having finished a distant fifth in pairs earlier in the Olympics.

The Sporting News is tracking live updates from pairs finals. Follow below for highlights, results and more as the world’s finest pair skaters shoot for gold in Milan.
