The Seattle Seahawks shocked the sports world in 2025, winning 14 games and capping off their incredible season with a Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots. The world championship put an exclamation point on what was a terrific season for the Seahawks’ defense, as well as the career resurrection that Sam Darnold has seen over the last two seasons.
It’s incredibly difficult and rare to see a team repeat as Super Bowl champions, though, and the Seahawks will have a big target on their backs once the 2026 NFL season kicks off. A big statement from Seattle would be to acquire a proven superstar to help them defend their championship, which is what Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports says they should do.
Sullivan labeled the Seahawks as a team that could trade for Las Vegas Raiders, predicting that trading first and second-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft could get the job done.
“The Seahawks also boast a talented enough roster to feel comfortable punting on the first two rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft if it means Crosby heads to the Pacific Northwest,” Sullivan writes. “The organization also has $72.2 million in available cap space (sixth-highest in the NFL) to help facilitate a new deal.”
Considering how great Seattle’s defense was in 2025, adding Crosby could take them to historic heights, and would certainly keep them in the Super Bowl bubble going into next season.
