The Rockets breezed past the Clippers on Tuesday night at the Toyota Center in Houston, 102-95. Houston took a 2-1 lead in the season series, ending its two-game home losing streak while halting the Clippers’ three-game road win streak.

Kevin Durant reached a historic career milestone on Tuesday, scoring 26 points against the Clippers at home to notch his 1,000th career game with at least 20 points. He became only the fourth player in NBA history to accomplish this feat, joining LeBron James, Karl Malone, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

For Durant, he’s maintained this elite level of scoring across three franchises and over two decades. On Tuesday, he also contributed two steals, extending his recent run of strong defensive play. Jabari Smith Jr. also delivered, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds, giving him double-doubles in back-to-back games for the first time since a season-high four-game stretch from in late December.

Kawhi Leonard paced the Clippers with 24 points, pushing his streak of 20-point performances to 32 consecutive games. For Leonard and the Clippers it marks the second-longest active stretch in the league, trailing only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 4-game run.
The two teams will conclude their back-to-back series on Wednesday night in Houston.
