As the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills navigate the offseason, adding help along the edge is a major priority for all three teams.

All three finished in the bottom half of the league in sacks in 2025, with the Niners ranking dead-last, the Cowboys ranking tied for 26th and the Bills ranking tied for 23rd.

The Cowboys still haven’t replaced Micah Parsons’ production, the 49ers need more help for Nick Bosa, who is also coming off a torn ACL, and the Bills will likely part ways with Joey Bosa after a disappointing campaign.

In an article naming the best landing spot for each of the top free agents in 2026, CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullian identified the Niners as the best landing spot for Joey Bosa.

But he also believes the Bills, Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have some interest. Here’s Sullivan’s full thoughts:

The Bosa brothers reunite as San Francisco adds a much-needed pass rusher. Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams are both coming off a torn ACL, and the elder Bosa would be a help as a situational player. Other suitors: Bills, Cowboys, Buccaneers

As we previously stated, a Bosa reunion with the Bills feels unlikely at this point.

Bosa, who is estimated by Spotrac to receive a two-year, $27.4 million deal in free agency, looked like he was going to be a strong addition for Buffalo after tallying four sacks through his first eight games.

However, Bosa declined significantly over the second half of the season, when he posted just one sack and 12 pressures the rest of the regular season before being shut out with zero sacks in the postseason.

But for teams with an even more desperate situation along the edge like the Niners and Cowboys, Bosa could still be attractive, although he should be viewed as a complementary addition rather than someone expected to anchor a pass-rush.

In terms of the most likely landing spots of the four teams mentioned, we would say the Niners and Cowboys are at the top of the list, followed by the Bucs and Bills.
