Arsenal head to Leeds United on Sunday looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

The Gunners have seen their lead at the top of the standings cut to four points after three games without a win, a run that included last weekend’s 3-2 home defeat to Manchester United.

With Aston Villa and Manchester City not in action until Sunday, Mikel Arteta’s team have the chance to put pressure on the chasing pack and ease some of the doubts around their capacity to sustain their latest title challenge.

Leeds have only lost one of their past 10 league matches, but West Ham’s recent good form means Daniel Farke’s team are only six points outside the relegation zone.

Leeds United vs. Arsenal live updates, highlights, and commentary

45 mins to kickoff: Viktor Gyokeres has had a muted start to life at Arsenal, but after finding the scoresheet early in the last match against Kairat Almaty, he will be happy to see Leeds. The Swede got his first-ever Arsenal goals against this very opponent, bagging a brace back in late August of last year.

1 hour to kickoff: Lineups are in! Leandro Trossard gets the starting spot on the left for Arsenal, where Mikel Arteta has been rotating a cacophony of players throughout the last few months. Piero Hincapie starts at left-back where he’s been in recent games as well, while the biggest surprise for the Gunners is Kai Havertz retaining his starting spot, replacing Martin Odegaard in the three-man midfield.

For Leeds, there are a number of tweaks, including Ilia Gruev starting in midfield over Sean Longstaff. Facundo Buonanotte, now on loan at Leeds after his unsuccessful spell at Chelsea, does not see the starting XI just yet. Daniel James is not involved despite the manager claiming he could be back from injury.

Leeds United vs. Arsenal lineups, team news

Lukas Nmecha and Jaka Bijol are missing with hamstring concerns, but Gabriel Gudmundsson is available after a groin strain kept him out of the draw at Everton, and he starts over Sam Byram.

It was believed that Daniel James would be back in contention, but he does not make the cut. The winger has not played since the 3-2 defeat to Manchester City on November 29, and does not appear in the squad despite Farke claiming he could be involved this weekend.

Leeds starting XI (3-4-2-1, right to left): Darlow (GK) — Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson — Bogle, Ampadu, Gruev, Justin — Aaronson Stach — Calvert-Lewin.

Leeds subs: Perri (GK), Byram, Bornauw, Tanaka, Longstaff, Buonanotte, Okafor, Gnonto, Piroe.

Arsenal expect to have Jurrien Timber and William Saliba available after they were rested for the midweek win over Kairat, and with Kai Havertz now back and scoring goals, Arteta’s squad is looking strong.

Gabriel Jesus may return to the lineup in place of Viktor Gyokeres despite an ineffective performance against United.

Arsenal starting XI (4-3-3, right to left): Raya (GK) — Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapie — Havertz, Zubimendi, Rice — Saka, Gyokeres, Trossard.

Arsenal subs: Kepa (GK), White, Mosquera, Calafiori, Eze, Odegaard, Jesus, Madueke, Martinelli.
