The 2024-25 NBA season is finally wrapping up. While the 2025 NBA Finals between the Pacers and Thunder wasn’t the big market matchup people were hoping for, it has been a slugfest that will go the distance.
Game 7 between Indiana and Oklahoma City will be held on Sunday, June 22. Tip-off from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is set for 8 p.m. ET, with the game airing on ABC and Sling. The Pacers won a pivotal Game 6 at home in blowout fashion, as the Pacers were up big most of the game, before ultimately winning, 108-91.
Other than the win, the biggest story from Game 6 was the status of star guard Tyrese Haliburton and his right calf. He strained it in Game 5, and while there wasn’t a major concern that he wouldn’t play, his effectiveness was certainly a lingering question mark. It helped that the Pacers were up the whole game, but Haliburton played 23 minutes and finished with 14 points and five assists. Obi Toppin’s 20 points led Indiana off the bench, while Pascal Siakam had a dominant double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Oklahoma City had a chance to win its first championship since moving from Seattle. The Thunder were favored in the game, especially with Haliburton’s injury, but they had a bad night from the field. Oklahoma City had to force shots late, but finished 26.7% from beyond the arc. The starting lineup went 1-13 from three, and will need to have a new gameplan in the series finale. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 21 points, four boards and two assists. Chet Holmgren really struggled with only four points on 2-of-9 shooting and six total rebounds.
