The Green Bay Packers have been bit by the injury bug.

Tucker Kraft in particular is a crucial loss. The Packers’ star tight end is out, and they could’ve looked for an upgrade on NFL trade deadline day on Tuesday.

There were names potentially available, like the Browns‘ David Njoku or Saints‘ Juwan Johnson.

Green Bay didn’t go for those guys, though, or for anyone.

Did the Packers make any trades?

No, the Green Bay Packers didn’t make any trades on deadline day Tuesday.

Their big trade of the season, of course, was getting Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys before Week 1.

That left them with fewer draft assets to be moved, and in the end, they stood pat on Tuesday.

Why didn’t the Packers make any trades?

Green Bay, in the interests of keeping its remaining draft capital, decided it would ride with the guys in house.

The Packers have a talented roster already. Most moves would’ve felt like stopgap fill-ins and not necessarily clear upgrades or long-term solutions.

The NFC North will be a slugfest the rest of the season. The Packers will have to keep up with the players they already have in the building.
