A.J. Brown may not be getting the football quite as much as he wants.

The Philadelphia Eagles‘ star wide receiver has tried the social media cryptic post route. He’s acknowledged frustrations publicly in the media. He’s displayed a bit of outward annoyance on the field.

But the reality is that he’s still crucial to what the Eagles do.

And so on NFL trade deadline day, there’s not really a question of how this will turn out for Philly.

Is A.J. Brown getting traded?

The strong expectation is that Brown is not getting traded.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Oct. 25 that although the Eagles are getting calls, they won’t be moving Brown.

When you combine that with the fact that the Eagles have made three trades in the past week for upgrades, it really wouldn’t add up to send Brown away now.

GM Howie Roseman is a shrewd negotiator and will likely have another deal or two up his sleeve before 4 p.m. ET Tuesday, when the trades end.

Brown would be illogical to be a part of any of those, though.

The Eagles are trying to defend their Super Bowl title, and they have a two-headed WR monster with Brown and DeVonta Smith. Taking Brown out of the equation would lessen Philly’s chances of repeating, and it doesn’t seem like Brown is so ticked off that he can’t stick around and make another run at it.

Other WRs from other teams might move on Tuesday, but probably not Brown.
