The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night.
Notably, Tuesday is the NFL trade deadline. And Jerry Jones’ 3-5-1 Cowboys may not want to stand pat.
To get back into the playoff picture, the Cowboys may need to make a splash.
No defensive player would be a bigger splash than the Cincinnati Bengals‘ Trey Hendrickson.
Hendrickson was a trade candidate before the season as he couldn’t reach a long-term extension, but Cincy did just enough to keep him around.
Now? He might just be on the move after all.
“My understanding is the #Cowboys have spoken to the Bengals on DE Trey Hendrickson and LB Logan Wilson, and to the Dolphins on OLB Bradley Chubb. They’ve had talks with other teams as well,” wrote NFL insider Jordan Schultz on X.

Hendrickson or Chubb would end in a pass-rush upgrade, while Wilson is more of a playmaking linebacker as a tackler.
The Cowboys traded away Micah Parsons before the season, and it makes it feel ironic that now what Dallas might need most is someone to get after the QB.
But watching Dallas get picked apart by Jacoby Brissett on Monday night really proved that might be the exact need.
The last two seasons, Hendrickson finished with 17.5 sacks apiece. He’s the real deal.
The Cowboys would then have to decide if they extend Hendrickson long-term. But if Dallas can get him in the building, that’s a trade deadline big swing and probably a trade deadline win, too.
