As if the Dallas Cowboys didn’t have enough issues at linebacker after the Micah Parsons trade, the team also hasn’t had DeMarvion Overshown at all this season.
Overshown suffered a torn ACL, MCL and PCL in December of last year and has been on the physically unable to perform list since the offseason as he works his way back.
However, Overshown took a significant step toward his return recently when he was designated to return from the PUP list a few weeks back and returned to practice.
While Overshown has yet to suit up since then and was once again ruled out for Week 9, he has been taking part in practice and his return is coming very soon.
But how soon? Here’s what we know.
When is DeMarvion Overshown coming back?
Once Overshown was designated to return from the PUP list, that gave him 21 days to be activated to the 53-man roster. If that doesn’t happen, he will be out for the rest of the season.
Overshown was officially designated to return on Oct. 22, so 21 days from that date in Nov. 12, which marks the latest date Dallas can activate him.
So, with the Cowboys on a bye in Week 10, that means the earliest we will see Overshown is Week 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Considering the progress we’ve seen Overshown make since he was cleared for practice, and with the 21-day timeline, we fully expect to see the linebacker in action for that contest.
