Penn State’s nightmare stretch doesn’t get any easier. The Nittany Lions (3-4) head to Columbus to face No. 1 Ohio State (7-0). A place they haven’t won since 2011.

They’ll do so as three-touchdown underdogs, without their starting quarterback, top linebacker, or even their head coach. Interim coach Terry Smith has tried to rally his team with an us against the world message. But pulling off an upset in the Horseshoe feels like asking a freshman quarterback to rewrite history in real time.

Ohio State, meanwhile, just keeps rolling. The Buckeyes have won nine straight over Penn State and look every bit the national title favorite behind quarterback Will Howard and a defense that hasn’t allowed more than 17 points in a game this season. Penn State’s best chance is to run the ball with Kaytron Allen, control tempo, and pray for turnovers.
