The Los Angeles Lakers this season are Luka Doncic’s team.
Their decision making signaled that he’s the top dog over LeBron James.
You wouldn’t know it by the Lakers on the court on Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Both superstars are out.
The Lakers are also without the likes of Gabe Vincent and Marcus Smart. It’s truly the Austin Reaves show.
Minnesota is shorthanded, too, as Anthony Edwards remains on the sideline.
It’s a nationally televised game on ESPN that’ll be missing a lot of the big names.

Why isn’t Luka Doncic playing tonight?
Luka Doncic remains out for the Lakers due to injury.
Doncic has a left finger sprain and a lower left leg contusion.
When Doncic was initially reported to be injured, he was expected to miss a week.
This is the third game that Doncic is missing, with likely a few more to come before he returns.
In the meantime, Reaves should likely get all sorts of shots and score all sorts of points.
The Lakers know Doncic is the key to their season. They’ll want to make sure he’s recovered before he gets back on the floor. They can’t take any risks with him this early in the season.
