The Toronto Blue Jays won Game 1 of the 2025 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers behind a historically good sixth inning.
The Blue Jays scored nine runs in the inning en route to their 11-4 win in Game 1.
Now, the Blue Jays will look to take a 2-0 series lead before heading to Los Angeles, and the Dodgers will look to even the series before heading home.

The big name missing from the Blue Jays starting lineup is Bo Bichette. After playing his first game since early September in Game 1, Bichette is not in the lineup for Game 2.
Expect the Blue Jays’ star to come off the bench as a pinch hitter at some point during the game.

Filling in will be Kiner-Falefa at second base. He pinch ran for Bichette in Game 1, and then was hitless in his two at-bats.
However, after a hitless ALDS against the New York Yankees, Kiner-Falefa had five hits in the ALCS against the Seattle Mariners. He ended the ALCS on a four-game hit streak.
The other changes are Lukes and Barger returning to the starting lineup after sitting to start the game on Friday night against left-handed pitcher Blake Snell.
The Blue Jays will have their ace, Kevin Gausman, on the mound for Game 2, who has a 2.00 ERA this postseason. The Dodgers will start Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who has a 1.83 ERA with a WHIP under one this postseason.
Game 2 will start at 8 p.m. in Toronto at the Rogers Centre.
