Utter chaos in Week 8 brought a major shake up to the AP Top 25, with all but one spot remaining unchanged in the new poll.
What might college football bring us this week, with a two-game slate on Tuesday kickstarting Week 9?
It’s another big week for surprise College Football Playoff contenders, like No. 10 Vanderbilt, which hosts No. 15 Missouri in an SEC showdown. The Commodores come into the week with their highest AP poll ranking since 1937, with supercharged quarterback Diego Pavia leading a revival in Nashville.
Elsewhere, it’s been a full-on renaissance at Indiana, where Curt Cignetti has a brand new contract to show for it. The second-ranked Hoosiers welcome in red-hot UCLA in an atypical Big Ten matchup. Indiana has never been this high in the AP poll, but it’s certainly deserving of the nod as one of the country’s best teams.
The only top-25 clash this week will be in Norman, as No. 13 Oklahoma hosts Lane Kiffin and No. 8 Ole Miss.
The Sporting News gets you set to watch college football this week, with TV and streaming information for every game in Week 9.
