The Seattle Seahawks‘ passing attack goes as wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba does, but he hasn’t been able to get going early on in the Week 7 game against the Houston Texans.
Smith-Njigba is off to a fantastic start to his season, as he entered Week 7 leading the NFL in receiving yards with 696.
However, you wouldn’t know that based on what we’ve seen early on in the Monday night contest versus the Texas, as JSN is off to a disappointing start.
Here’s a closer look at what’s going on.
Is Jaxon Smith-Njigba playing tonight?
Yes, Smith-Njigba is active and in the lineup, he just hasn’t caught a pass yet. JSN does have one target, but Sam Darnold’s pass was inaccurate.
The Seahawks didn’t have any success on their first offensive series and Darnold has been targeting his tight ends heavy so far. It also doesn’t help that Houston’s secondary has a lot of talent, which no doubt makes things harder.
That said, it’s just a matter of time before JSN gets going.
