After a strong start at Carmel, Indiana, the 36th edition of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup travels to Westmont, Illinois, for its second leg, beginning Friday.
It was an impressive showing by the USA at Carmel, as they bagged 11 gold medals in front of their home crowd.
American swim stars Kate Douglass and Gretchen Walsh stole the show with the duo winning three events each.
Hungary’s Hubert Kos dominated the men’s category at Carmel, winning three medals, while local boys Shane Cass and Carson Foster impressed with two medals each to their names.
Despite an impressive start from the USA, there’s still a long way to go at this year’s World Aquatics Swimming World Cup, with other countries hoping to catch up to them at Westmont.
