A former first-round pick just became available in the free agent pool.

The Baltimore Ravens are testing out their own interest level.

On Friday, the Ravens worked out offensive lineman Kenyon Green, according to The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec. Green has so far spent the season moving onto and off the roster of the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles waived Green on Monday to make roster space for the newly claimed WR Xavier Gipson.

Philadelphia originally traded for Green from the Texans on March 11.

They waived him Aug. 25, then signed him to the practice squad on Aug. 27.

On Aug. 31, Green was signed to the active roster, only to be waived on Sept. 6. Then they signed Green again on Sept. 17, only to waive him again on Monday, Sept. 22.

Green, an offensive guard, originally entered the NFL as a first-round pick, No. 15 overall, and he started in 23 of the 27 regular season games he was active for with the Texans.

The Eagles might still bring Green back at some point. They clearly like him just enough to keep utilizing him.

That could make what the Ravens do next an interesting tell. If Baltimore signs Green quickly, it could be to beat the rush of a Philly return.

But so far, there’s no report of a signing. The Ravens just wanted to check in on a guy once viewed as talented enough to go midway through the first round.
