McKinney (1-1) opened its season with a close 21-17 loss to Frisco Emerson. But last week, the Lions bounced back on the road with a 28-14 win against Garland Lakeview Centennial, breaking a 14-all score with a pair of fourth-quarter TDs.

The Lions were held to 94 yards of total offense, but got a 56-yard pick-six from Kaden Scoby that clinched the win in the fourth quarter. They also got a blocked punt and a long kickoff return to set up two other TDs.
