Pitt has had some strong wins so far this season, but they’ve also dropped ranked losses to programs like Nebraska and Florida. The Panthers won their last matchup against Jacksonville, 3-1, with sophomore Ryla Jones hitting a stifling 0.769 and recording a career-high 11 kills.
On the other hand, Kentucky has fought its way up the ranks, rising four spots from No. 7 to No. 3. The Wildcats swept New Hampshire over the weekend with five different players tallying five or more kills and the squad upholding a 0.589 hitting percentage overall.
