After two years, the Asia Cup tournament returns for its 17th edition, bringing some iconic rivalries and cricket entertainment for all the cricket fans.

The Asia Cup, which was last held in 2023 in the 50-over format, was won by India, but now the tournament returns in the T20I format this year. The 8-team tournament will be played in the UAE, especially in two locations: Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The tournament will feature 8 teams, including five full-time Asian Cricket Council (ACC) members—India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Alongside them, Hong Kong, the UAE, and Oman have qualified following their top-three finish at the 2024 ACC Premier Cup.

The three-week-long event will kick off with league stage matches, followed by the Super Four round, concluding with a high-stakes final.

India has been the most successful team in the tournament’s history with 8 titles (7 ODIs and 1 T20I), followed by Sri Lanka with 6 titles (5 ODIs and 1 T20I) and Pakistan with 2 trophies (both ODIs).
