ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer will meet with linebacker Micah Parsons today to discuss his behavior on the sidelines during the Cowboys last preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, where Parsons was seen lying on the training table.

“Without talking to Micah, I need to figure out what he was doing and why he was doing it,” Schottenheimer said on a conference call Saturday. “So, until I talk to him, I’m obviously not going to talk about it.”

Tensions between the club and Parsons are at an all-time high, as Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been on a media press tour to promote the new Cowboys docuseries.

Jones has been blaming Parsons’ agent for why a deal hasn’t been done yet between the two sides.

That set Parsons off. He removed any trace of the Dallas Cowboys from his X page and took to social media on Friday night to explain his behavior and why he was lying down during the game after a reporter in Dallas tried to explain what was happening.

“I actually appreciate this. The way media shapes perception and narratives is wild—and if he hadn’t said anything, everyone would’ve just run with it. I’d never disrespect the guys out there fighting for their lives.’

It’s obvious, however, that these recent actions did not sit well with ownership or the team, and an explanation is needed, especially after it was revealed that Parsons’ MRI had come back clean, according to his head coach.

It is also obvious that Parsons is frustrated right now with the organization and is acting out, but his behavior on the sideline is not helping him, and it appears that Schottenheimer wants to get to the bottom of this before it gets any worse.
