ATLANTA, Georgia, Aug. 16 — Douglas County had a great 11-3 season that included a run to the GHSA Class 6A semifinals in 2024. They even gave the Grayson [Loganville] Rams a good fight in a 35-28 loss in that final four a year ago.
North Gwinnett actually won more games than Douglas County, finishing 12-1. That included a 12-0 run to the start the season, but the Bulldogs’ season ended in the quarterfinals in a lopsided 43-7 loss to the Buford Wolves.
Douglas County has three seniors ranked in 247sports.com’s Class of 2026, including 6-feet 9-inch, 340-pound offensive tackle Joshua Sam-Epelle. North Gwinnett is led by senior linebacker Jake Godfree.
