When the preseason started, you could tell Warren wasn’t just along for the ride. Sure, he’s an older rookie, and the NFL moves way faster than college ball, but he’s keeping up just fine.
Even Pro Football Focus has noticed.
They ranked him as one of the top rookies after the first week of preseason, giving him a solid grade. Only a few guys scored better, like Will Campbell from New England and Grey Zabel from Seattle.
Warren saw limited snaps with the starters in the preseason matchup against the Ravens but managed to catch three passes for 40 yards. During his time at Penn State, he played a vital role in the offense and contributed to the team’s postseason success.

In his final year, he caught 104 passes for over 1,200 yards and scored eight touchdowns.
