The top overall defensive line prospect in Georgia’s Class of 2026 has committed to play college football in College Station, Texas.
It appears he’ll have some company.
Tristian Givens of the Carver (Columbus) Tigers committed to Texas A&M on June 21, and the highly-regarded five-star edge rusher is ranked as the No. 24 overall prospect nationally at any position by 247sports.com. That makes him the top defensive lineman in the Peach State entering the 2025 season, but he’s not the only future Aggie in Georgia’s prep ranks this fall.
Two weeks after Givens made his pledge, fellow five-star Buford Wolves’ defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright – the second-highest rated defensive lineman this fall in Georgia – also announced his plans to play at Texas A&M. He and Givens join four-star Jordan Carter of the Douglas County (Douglasville) Tigers who’s been in the Aggies’ corner since October 27, 2024.

MASSIVE win for @CoachMikeElko and the Aggies, as BPW says he found the “perfect fit.”
“It’s kind of D-Line University now.”

Givens (6-3.5, 215 lbs) and Perry-Wright (6-2, 250 lbs) are both considered can’t-miss talents who figure to make immediate impacts in 2026 on the hallowed ground of Kyle Field in College Station. Carter (6-4, 235 lbs) is a four-star prospect who also projects as a starter, and it’s likely that he’ll crack the Texas A&M lineup sooner rather than later, too.
That could mean that a future Aggie defensive line will feature three Georgia boys in starting roles not too far from the heart of talent-rich Texas.
Trio of future Seminole defensive linemen also hail from the Peach State
The Aggies aren’t the only Power Four program that’s had success picking Peach State prospects this summer.
The Florida State Seminoles have dipped their toes into Georgia’s prep pool to find three talented defensive line recruits of their own. They’ve wrangled a commitment from four-star Earnest Rankins (6-4, 265 lbs) who plays for the Southwest DeKalb (Decatur) Panthers. And they’ve got two three-star commits lined up in Tico Crittendon (6-4, 300 lbs) of the Lithonia Bulldogs and Wihtlley Cadeau of the Washington (Atlanta) Bulldogs.
Georgia Bulldogs nab four future prospects of their own
Of course, this is still Bulldog country, and many a young prep prospect in Georgia dreams of playing for the state’s flagship program. Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs may have missed out on the state’s top Class of 2026 prospects, but they’ve got a four-star of their own in the fold with Khamari Brooks (of the North Oconee (Bogart) Titans.
A trio of three-star talents have also pledged to the Bulldogs, including Carter Luckie (6-5, 265 lbs) of the Norcross Blue Devils, Anthony Lonon Jr. of the Clarke Central (Athens) Gladiators, and Corey Howard (6-6, 245 lbs) of the Valdosta Wildcats.
Many Class of 2027 four-star recruits remain uncommitted
KJ Green, Stephenson (Stone Mountain) Jaguars – Jr.
EDGE (Ht) 6-5 (Wt) 215
Green’s list of Power Four suitors includes names like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Nebraska, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Texas. He also has an offer from Notre Dame, but it’s unclear, yet, if any single program has an advantage on the recruiting trail.
Elijah Patmon, Northside (Warner Robins) Eagles – Jr.
DL (Ht) 6-4 (Wt) 292
Patmon’s list of offers reads like a Power Four “who’s who?” of national title contenders. Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Texas have all extended invitations to their respective house parties, but Patmon has, yet, to give any clues on his ultimate destination.
Justin Weeks, Pace Academy (Atlanta) Knights – Jr.
DL (Ht) 6-5 (Wt) 235
Weeks holds 23 FBS offers so far, and one name that doesn’t show up often in Georgia is Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes. Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC are among the other schools that are courting Weeks.

Smalls-Allen committed to the Kansas Jayhawks on June 27.
Benedictine Cadets’ Defensive Line

LaDamion Guyton, EDGE – Jr.
