Nicolas Jackson have made his transfer stance clear with the 24-year-old striker favoring a move to Newcastle United if he departs this summer, according to The Telegraph.
That preference reportedly comes at a time when Newcastle’s attacking plans are under the spotlight not only because of the ongoing interest in Alexander Isak from Liverpool but also reportedly due to manager Eddie Howe’s desire to strengthen his forward options regardless of whether the Swedish striker is sold.
Jackson has been training on his own after informing Chelsea that he wants to leave, a decision reflected in his absence from friendlies against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan.
The Senegalese striker has hit doubles figures goals in both the season since arriving from Villarreal in 2023 for £32m [$43m] and signed a nine-year contract last year.
But this summer’s arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro have moved him down the pecking order.
Chelsea are reportedly willing to consider offers yet only if they exceed twice their initial investment which makes any deal a significant financial commitment for interested clubs.

Newcastle have been searching for a striker all summer after missing out on Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United for £73.7m [$99m] and losing the race for Pedro to Chelsea.
Reportedly, Howe is open to playing a two-striker setup, which makes him a potential option for the Tyneside team.
Isak’s situation still shapes the market but Newcastle keep options open
Reportedly, Alexander Isak has been told by the club that he will not be sold this summer after Liverpool’s £110m [$148m] offer was rejected by the Magpies.
Liverpool insist their bid was final, but it is understood they are still exploring whether a deal is possible.

With three years left on Isak’s contract, Newcastle have set their asking price at £150m [$201m] , a figure that would test even the biggest bidders
Chelsea, meanwhile, are in talks with several Premier League and European clubs.
Jackson’s record over the last year which had him score 0.41 non-penalty goals and 2.80 shot-creating actions per match shows why he remains a sought-after option.
