Bayern Munich are on the verge of losing another one of the trusted forwards in the summer transfer window following the departures of Leroy Sane and Thomas Muller.

The Bavarians may have reclaimed the Bundesliga last season, but they need to string together a strong enough lineup to maintain that stature in Germany and also in the Champions League in the upcoming campaign.

They now run the risk of losing Kingsley Coman, who has reportedly agreed personal terms with Saudi Pro League outfit Al Nassr.

Led by Cristiano Ronaldo and Jorge Jesus, Al Nassr are keen on building a super team as they aim to challenge for the Saudi Pro League title whilst also maintaining their level in Asian competitions.

After securing Inigo Martinez from Barcelona on a free transfer, Jesus is now desperate to lure Coman out of Bavaria.

Coman was previously approached by Saudi Pro League outfits but considering his important role under Vincent Kompany, he decided to stay at Bayern.

However, this summer it looks like the France international has made up his mind and as per BILD, Al Nassr have tabled a bid worth €30m for the experienced winger.

If Coman makes the move to Saudi Arabia, Bayern will be left with – Michael Olise, Luis Diaz, Serge Gnabry, Lennart Karl and Wisdom Mike to fill up the two flanks.

Out of them two of the players are teenage academy graduates will little to no experience of playing football at the highest level.

What did Herbert Hainer say about Coman and Bayern’s future plans?

Interestingly, Bayern Munich bosses including President Herbert Hainer sat down in a meeting discussing the transfer plans and they reportedly decided that no urgent signings weren’t required after the Bavarians secured Diaz.

However, things have taken a drastic turn in the last few days with Al Nassr’s move for Coman gaining pace and now with the Frenchman reportedly agreeing terms with the Saudi Pro League outfit means that Bayern may have to push for a replacement.

When asked about Coman’s possible departure to Saudi Arabia, Hainer told Merkur, “I don’t want to comment on names or speculation. In general, I can say that we’re very happy with our squad. We’ve achieved what we wanted. With Jonathan Tah and Tom Bischof, we signed two German internationals on a free.

“With Díaz we were able to fill the gap on the left wing. Now we have the luxury to see what happens on the market in the next three weeks. If a player wants to leave, then of course we’ll sit down with him and speak – and then react accordingly.”

There are reports suggesting that Bayern Munich may sign a replacement for Coman, but they are looking for a winger who is versatile and can double up as a striker or a number 10.

However, when asked about replacements, Hainer remained tight-lipped on the entire scenario, “As I said, I don’t want to participate in speculation. But if a player wants to go, we’ll discuss, assess the advantages and disadvantages and what it means for FC Bayern, then react accordingly.”

Coman moved to Bayern Munich in 2015 from Juventus, eventually on loan before permanently joining the Bavarians in 2017.

He has featured in 339 games for Bayern Munich and returned with 72 goals but none of them was as important as the one he scored in the 2020 Champions League final against PSG.

He scored the decisive goal that separated the two teams in the final whilst guiding his Bayern to a historic European title and treble under former manager Hansi Flick.

Other than that, he has won nine Bundesliga titles, three DFB Pokal crowns, six DFL Supercup triumphs and a solitary FIFA Club World Cup honor in 2020.
