California is best known in recent years for its output of elite quarterbacks, wide receivers, and defensive backs.
But would California be home to many of high school football’s best teams – including the disputed or undisputed national champion in each of the last eight years – if the Golden State weren’t filled with formidable offensive linemen? Absolutely not.
With that said, here’s a look at who we think are the top 20 offensive linemen in California high school football entering the 2025 season.
1. Kodi Greene, Mater Dei – Sr.

One of the top offensive tackles California has seen in several years, Greene (6-6, 315) is a reigning consensus First Team All-State selection and Trinity League Lineman of the Year. In April the 5-star bulldozer flipped from Oregon to Washington, where he lived and played for Eastside Catholic before transferring to Mater Dei a year ago.
2. Tommy Tofi, Archbishop Riordan – Sr.
1st OV in the books. Thank you @Utah_Football for being great hosts this weekend. My family and I learned a lot about the program. The bar is set! @UtahCoachWhitt @coachjharding @AjPataialii @CoachPowell99 @CoachAdhir @BrandonHuffman @adamgorney @SWiltfong_ @AndrewNemec #UBoyz pic.twitter.com/jC7dzrG6fg

California’s top-ranked interior offensive lineman in the Class of 2026, Tofi has surprising versatility and mobility for 6-6, 330. While listed as a guard prospect, Tofi has primarily played tackle for the Crusaders and is also loved by scouts as a nose guard prospect. He flipped from Cal to Oregon in July and possesses at least 30 total offers.
3. Vlad Dyakonov, Folsom – Sr.
Very thankful for all of the opportunities that I was offered thank you to the coaches who recruited me

— Vlad Dyakonov (@Vlad_Dyakonov55) April 9, 2025
Dyakonov broke out last season as one of NorCal’s premier offensive tackles for the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 1 champion. Most recently listed at 6-7, 280, the 4-star recruit picked USC in April out of 29 offers including Arizona State, Boise State, BYU, and Ole Miss. Per 247Sports’ Greg Biggins, “Dyakonov is a fast rising offensive line prospect with a high ceiling. He’s still relatively new to football but has made a huge jump in a short time. Has all the physical traits to play tackle at the college level with a prototype frame, length and athleticism”
4. Niniva Nicholson, Santa Margarita – Sr.
As a junior at JSerra, Nicholson was named First Team All-Trinity League and First Team Junior All-State (Cal-Hi Sports). Now he looks to build on his breakout junior year at Santa Margarita. Nicholson (6-3, 285) is a 3-star Arizona State commit who also got offers from the likes of Oregon, Stanford, Sacramento State, and Fresno State.
5. Lex Mailangi, Mater Dei – Jr.
As usual, the reigning national champions have, arguably, two of California’s top five offensive linemen. Mailangi was the only sophomore hog to garner First Team All-Trinity League honors in 2024 and was a MaxPreps All-American for the second year in a row. He’s an overpowering guard at 6-3, 330 with has 20 offers including Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan, Oregon, and USC.
6. Sam Utu, Orange Lutheran – Sr.
Utu has uncanny athleticism for 6-4.5, 320 and has been a standout for OLu since his freshman year. He’s a 4-star recruit who committed to Alabama in June over Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas, Penn State, SMU, Washington, and another 20-plus D-1s. Per 247Sports, Utu “offers a ton of positional versatility and has tackle feet, balance and athleticism but more of a guard frame and we could see him playing all over the offensive line including center. Technically sound and plays with advanced technique in terms of his ability to play with leverage, hand placement and body control… if Utu maximizes his potential, he will no doubt hear his name called at the NFL Draft in a few years.”
7. Lincoln Mageo, Oceanside – Jr.
The 4-star guard was already one of the top linemen in California regardless of class as a sophomore, helping lead Oceanside to its first league title since 2014. Mageo plays even bigger than his 6-foot-4, 280-pound frame and has 18 offers that include Ohio State, Texas, Stanford, and USC.
8. Elisha Mueller, Servite – So.
At 6-4, 295, Mueller was one of the best freshman offensive linemen California has seen in a while in 2024, earning First Team All-Trinity League honors right out of the gate. He’s already up to 18 offers, including Alabama, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, and USC. When 247Sports’ initial Class of 2028 rankings come out, it’s hard to imagine Mueller won’t be at least a 4-star recruit.
9. Malik White, Rancho Cucamonga – Sr.
One of California’s longest-tenured standouts at OL, White (6-5, 310) has been a force for the Cougars for two or three years already. He’s a 3-star San Diego State commit whose other offers included UNLV, Arizona State, Utah, Louisville, and most recently Oregon State, where he visited shortly thereafter in June.
10. Colton Hogge, Twelve Bridges – Sr.
As a junior, Hogge (6-5, 260) was the top blocker on a Sac-Joaquin Section D4 champ and 2-A state finalist that eclipsed 4,500 rushing yards and 7,500 total yards of offense. The 3-star Nevada commit was named First Team All-Section by MaxPreps and First Team All-Metro by the Sac Bee. Hogge also has offers from Sacramento State, Eastern Washington, and NAU.
11. Elisha Faamatuaino, Murrieta Valley – Sr. (Cal)
The top trench man to watch for a program that’s been as consistent as it gets in recent years at putting out top-tier offensive lineman. Faamatuaino (6-5, 300) earned First Team All-State (Juniors) honors from Cal-Hi Sports and was the only non-senior to earn IE Varsity All-Area honors after helping the Nighthawks to the CIF-SS Division 2 title game. He’s a 3-star Cal commit whose other offers consist of Oregon, SMU, Arizona, Auburn, and San Diego State.
12. Quinn Buckey, Liberty (Bakersfield) – Sr.
The most decorated O-lineman in the Central Valley with room to spare, and a 3-star Michigan State commit with 20 more offers. Per 247Sports, Buckey (6-6, 270) “is a true tackle prospect with an ideal frame for the college game… and has the kind of length coaches covet at the position. He’s technically sound with his hands and feet and should be able to make a smooth transition to the college game. An aggressive player with a nice edge to him.”
13. Blake Graham, Leuzinger – Sr.
Graham had a huge junior year in which he starred on a CIF-SS D2 playoff team that run-blocked as well as almost any team in the state. Despite standing “only” 6-3, 280, he’s a 3-star recruit with 20 offers including Penn State, Michigan, Miami, and Arizona State.
14. Cooper Javorsky, San Juan Hills – Sr.
Already an all-county and all-state (Cal-Hi Sports Juniors) honoree in 2024, Javorsky is a strong pick to break out further this fall. 247Sports reports “Javorsky was one of the big risers this off-season and had strong showings at the SoCal National Preps Camp (Overall MVP) and Under Armour Next Camp in Los Angeles.” At 6-4, 280, he’s a 3-star UCLA commit whose 14 other offers include UNLV, Oregon State, Colorado State, and Auburn.
15. Lemani Fehoko, Serra (San Mateo) – Sr.
At just 6-1, 280, Fehoko is already considered by many to be the top offensive lineman in the Bay Area with half of his high school career remaining. He earned First Team All-WCAL and First Team All-State (Cal-Hi Sports Sophomores) honors in 2024 while also spending some time on the D-line, where he may land in college. Fehoko is a 3-star recruit with a dozen offers that include Tennessee, Washington, UNLV, Arizona, and Arizona State.
16. Sunia Vuki, Folsom – Sr.
Gone are the days where a lack of size up front was Folsom’s lone Achilles heel. With the addition of Vuki, who was named First Team All-Metro by the Sacramento Bee and Third Team All-State (Juniors) by Cal-Hi Sports as a junior at Casa Roble, Folsom has the two top hogs in the Sacramento Section by our count. Vuki is a mammoth of a 3-star Oklahoma State commit at 6-5, 350 with some nastiness.
17. Carsten Campbell, Frontier – Jr.
With prototypical size for a guard prospect at 6-4, 305, Campbell earned First Team All-State (Sophomores) honors from Cal-Hi Sports after helping lead the Titans to a Central Section I-A crown and state 3-AA title. He’s ranked as a 3-star prospect and has been offered by Sacramento State, Fresno State, and San Diego State.
18. Calvin Moala, Chaparral – Jr.
After earning Second Team All-State (Sophomores) honors from Cal-Hi Sports at Rancho Christian, Moala looks to make even more noise this fall at Chaparral for one of the Inland Empire’s top squads. He’s a 3-star recruit at 6-2, 300 with offers from BYU, Washington, Sacramento State, Utah, and Arizona State.
19. Carlos Flores Jr., Millikan – Sr.
Probably the state’s most underrated offensive lineman after spending his underclassman years at Bishop Amat. Flores is a two-time reigning all-state and SGV Tribune All-Area selection who’s a bit undersized at 6-2, 280. While Division I scouts have whiffed on him up to this point, local scouts will tell you he’s one of the premier O-linemen in Southern California.
20. Gabriel Villalobos, St. John Bosco – Jr.
Villalobos earned all-Trinity League and First Team All State (Sophomores) honors last fall for one of the top programs in high school football. He remains unranked by 247Sports, probably due to his 6-foot-1 frame (despite bringing 310 pounds of force to the front five), but he does hold an offer from Washington.
