Former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel is teaming up with a group of of fellow NFL stars, to compete on a new reality television show. 

The former Texas A&M star, 32, will be joined by Patriots wide receiver Erick Decker, 38, Commanders long snapper Andrew East, 33, and Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb, 34, on Season 4 of the Fox reality competition series, “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”  

Two of the NFL star’s wives, Eric’s wife Jessie Decker, and Andrew’s wife  Olympic gold medalist gymnast Shawn Johnson East, are also joining the cast. 

The military training show will throw 18 contestants into intense conditions, similar to what the U.S. Special Forces go through,  to see who can brave the elements.

Manziel announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday, August 6, alongside a picture of himself wearing a military-style backpack. 

He captioned the post, “Ready to go. #SpecialForcesFox.” 

Fans were quick to share the thoughts on Manziel’s return to the spotlight. 

“Oh my qb is so back baby,” one person commented on Instagram. 

“omg can’t wait,” someone else wrote. 

“Will definitely be watching this one,” another person said. 

“I’m so proud of you,” someone else added. 

The NBA will also be represented on the show, as Denver Nuggets star Nick Young, also known as “Swaggy P” is set to compete. In addition, United States soccer Defender Christie Rampone is also set to compete on the quasi-military training show. 

Other competitor’s include: Jussie Smollett, Teresa Giudice, Gia Giudice, Eva Marcille, Kody Brown, Brittany Cartwright, Mark Estes, Chanel Iman, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, and Ravi V.Patel.

“Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” will premiere on Fox on Thursday, September 25 at 9 p.m. EST.
