Manchester United have taken a big step toward solving their striker problem. The club has reportedly reached a full agreement on personal terms with Benjamin Sesko.

The RB Leipzig forward is apparently set to sign a deal running until June 2030.

The 22-year-old Slovenia international had interest from several clubs, including Newcastle, but chose Old Trafford as his next stop.

Despite the Magpies offering more money and Champions League football, Sesko made it clear he only had eyes for United.

As Fabrizio Romano reported, “Sesko wants to join United… Never gave similar indication to other clubs.”

This move has been brewing for weeks, with Manchester United and Leipzig still working on the final details of the transfer fee.

But the player’s preference seems to have tipped the scales. As per reports, it’s now just a matter of time before the deal is completed.

How Benjamin Sesko could fit in Man Utd’s squad?

Sesko scored 21 goals last season and has 39 goals and eight assists since joining Leipzig. He’s tall, quick, and fearless in front of goal — the kind of forward that’s been missing at Old Trafford.

Sesko’s arrival could shake things up in Manchester. Rasmus Hojlund had a mixed couple of seasons and might now find himself competing for minutes — or a move away.

United are even open to selling him if a solid offer comes in.

The plan is to rebuild the front line. With Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha also signed this summer, manager Ruben Amorim will now have new options up top.

That’s quite the forward line-up — no more “goal drought” headlines, hopefully.

But United still have work to do in midfield and defense. And with spending climbing close to £200 million, sales will be key.
