The Dallas Cowboys cut a Super Bowl champion on Tuesday.
They released wide receiver Parris Campbell, who won a ring this past February as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Campbell became a free agent following the Super Bowl victory, and just a day into the opening of the market, he signed with the Cowboys.
The former Ohio State star was hurt earlier in August, was placed on injured reserve and has now been released.
Campbell was once a highly intriguing wideout from the Buckeyes.
He gained extra attention at his NFL Combine when he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.31 seconds.

The Colts took him No. 59 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Campbell had 18 catches as a rookie, then just six and then 10 the next two seasons.
He had his breakout with the Colts in 2022, when he reeled in 63 passes for 623 yards and three touchdowns.
Indy let Campbell walk after that season, and he joined the Giants.
In 12 games in 2023 with New York, Campbell caught 20 passes for just 104 yards.

After that season, Campbell departed for the Eagles. He got into five games last season for Philadelphia, catching a total of six passes for 30 yards and a touchdown.
Now 28 years old, Campbell got a chance to stay in the NFC East this offseason by moving to Dallas. But an injury prevented him from making his case for a roster spot.
Campbell likely still has NFL tenure in his future, but he seems unlikely to ever return to the level of player who had 63 catches for the Colts three years ago.
