EA Sports released its Madden NFL ratings recently, and it’s a lot of numbers to sort through.

But there’s one that’s immensely impressive, and it comes from Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe.

Milroe was given a 93 speed rating, per SI.

That’s out of 99, for those wondering, and it’s second among QBs behind only Ravens superstar Lamar Jackson.

It makes sense on paper, because Milroe can run a 4.4-second 40-yard dash.

It’ll also make Milroe a very popular player in the game, someone who gamers swap in ahead of Sam Darnold to run all over the field.

That’s even more true given that Milroe has great deep ball arm strength, too.

Frankly, he feels a lot like a video game player.

He won’t play much right away in Seattle. Sam Darnold signed a nine-figure contract to be the starter.

Milroe may get some specialty packages early on, which will be a nice touch.

But it’s in the long term where he may really stand out. His athleticism is pretty much unmatched at the QB position.

If over time, the Seahawks can create an offense that plays to his strengths, he has legitimate star potential.

Speed kills, even for quarterbacks, especially if said QB can figure out the rest of the game. Milroe will have time to watch and learn from Darnold, and if the Seahawks do this right, that time can be highly valuable.
