As the Fever’s fight for the playoffs rolls on, they are still moving forward without their best player.

Caitlin Clark has had an injury-riddled second season, as she has suffered multiple groin injuries and missed over half of Indiana’s games this year. Still, the Fever are over .500 for the year and currently in a playoff with less than six weeks left in the season.

The Fever are currently in the midst of a West Coast road trip as they try to cement their spot in the postseason. However, will Caitlin Clark return when Indiana heads to Seattle to play the Storm? Here’s the latest.

Is Caitlin Clark playing today?

While the Fever haven’t announced Clark’s status against the Storm, it would be a surprise if she returns from injury on Sunday.

Clark hasn’t played since July 15, when she suffered a groin injury late in the game against the Sun. She has missed 15 games total due to injury this year, most with issues relating to her groin, which includes five games due to a different groin injury earlier this year.

What is Caitlin Clark’s injury?

Clark has been dealing with a right groin injury over the past few weeks. Against the Sun on July 15, Clark appeared to pull her groin late in the fourth quarter, as she was clearly in pain on the court.

On July 24, the Fever confirmed that there were no additional injuries beyond the initial diagnosis, although there was no definitive timetable for return.

“Clark will continue working with the Fever medical team on her recovery and rehabilitation, with the priority on her long-term health and well-being,” the Fever said. “There is no timetable available for Clark’s return, and no additional details will be provided at this time. Any further updates will be shared as they become available.”

Leading up to Sunday’s game against the Storm, Clark has missed six straight contests since suffering the injury and 15 games overall.
