The first-ever In-Season Challenge champion will be announced at the storied Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2025, setting the groundwork for a moment in NASCAR history.

Kyle Larson stole the show in a thrilling thriller at last year’s event. Larson, who started the match in sixth place, waited patiently and came alive when it counted most, charging ahead in a wild double-overtime conclusion.

Even though he only led eight laps, he made a move that was precisely timed and executed with surgeon-like precision at the final restart. He was closely followed by Tyler Reddick and Ryan Blaney, with Christopher Bell and Bubba Wallace rounding out the top five.

In the meantime, Denny Hamlin won the 2025 AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 with ease this past Sunday, adding another feather to his crown.

Rain sent the race into double overtime, adding drama to the Dover duel, but Hamlin maintained his nose out front and his foot on the accelerator, narrowly defeating teammate Chase Briscoe by 0.310 seconds. Ty Gibbs secured fifth place, Kyle Larson settled for fourth, and Alex Bowman took third.

With his most recent victory, Hamlin kept his playoff dreams ablaze as it was his fourth of the season and his 58th Cup Series victory overall.
