The winding road to Greenville, North Carolina, for the Little League Softball World Series kicks into gear this weekend, as regional tournaments begin across the nation. 

The defending champions have already secured their spot in the field: Pitt County Girls Softball Little League won the North Carolina regional. They’ll be one of 12 teams in the bracket. 

Seven of the other representatives will come from teams in the U.S., with regional tournaments starting on either Saturday, July 19, or Sunday, July 20.

Little League softball regionals 2025

The road to Greenville ramps up for Little League softball teams across the U.S. on July 19, with regional tournaments officially beginning. 

In total, there are eight regions: Central, North Carolina, Mid-Atlantic, New England, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest, and West. One team from each representative will clinch a berth in Greenville; already, Pitt County has won the North Carolina region.

The Little League Softball World Series will begin on Sunday, Aug. 3. Tournament play will be divided into two brackets, Purple and Orange. 

On Saturday, Aug. 9, the championship game of the Orange bracket will occur at 2 p.m. ET, with the championship game of the Purple bracket following at 5 p.m. ET. 

Then, on Sunday, Aug. 10, the winners of each bracket will meet in the Little League Softball World Series final at 3 p.m. ET.
