The Buffalo Bills signed future Hall of Fame edge rusher Von Miller ahead of the 2022 NFL season in hopes that he would get them over the hump and help them win a Super Bowl. At first, it looked like he was going to do just that. Miller had eight sacks in 2022 before suffering a torn ACL on Thanksgiving against the Detroit Lions.
In 2023, he played in just 12 games and was a healthy scratch on more than one occasion. He didn’t register a sack that year. However, Miller had a respectable 2024 campaign, totaling six sacks. The Bills let go of Miller after the season, and he remained a free agent until now. Miller announced via his Instagram that he is signing with the Washington Commanders.
Washington made it to the NFC Championship Game in 2024, and they were in desperate need of an edge rusher after Dante Fowler signed with the Dallas Cowboys this offseason. The Bills brought in Joey Bosa to replace Miller.
