Manchester United are in dire straits in the summer transfer window, as they are stuck in negotiations with Brentford over Bryan Mbuemo.
The Red Devils have struggled to finalise terms with Brentford despite talks going on for over a month for the Cameroonian.
Apart from him, they have only signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves, along with teenage stars like Diego Leon and Enzo Kana-Biyik.
However, their situation has gone from bad to worse as Andre Onana has suffered a hamstring injury and is all set to miss out on preseason as per The Telegraph.
Onana has suffered from the problem this week as players returned to the training base at Carington.
As per reports, the 29-year-old may get sidelined for six to eight months, which means there are chances of him missing out on United’s curtain raiser against Arsenal on August 17.

While the Red Devils are hoping that Onana will return to full fitness before the start of the season, they will start the preseason without the Cameroonian.
United will have to start their preseason with Altay Bayandir, Tom Heaton, and Czech Republic star Radek Vitek present in between the sticks.
They will face Leeds United in Sweden next weekend before flying out to the United States, where they will play teams like West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton.
They also have a final friendly against Fiorentina at home before starting the new campaign.
Now the decision remains with Ruben Amorim if he wants to trust the backup goalkeepers or invest in a new goalkeeper from the transfer window.
Manchester United have been linked with a couple of goalkeepers
Amorim is a big fan of Emiliano Martinez, and he would be an ideal pick for United given his Premier League experience and overall calibre as a goalkeeper.

He is all set to leave Aston Villa this summer, which makes things even more viable for the Red Devils.
They need to make a move for the 32-year-old as he has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia.
Apart from the Argentine, United have been linked with Atalanta’s star goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.
They have reportedly offered €40m ($46.7m) for the young Italian, whereas Atalanta are asking for something in the region of €50m ($58.4m).
Then there are also goalkeepers like Lille’s Lucas Chavalier and Parma’s Zion Sukuzi, who have been linked with Premier League clubs this summer.
