There were hopes from Spurs fans to see Dylan Harper make his debut on Thursday in the Las Vegas Summer League, but the Spurs gave an update on his status for the game.
What is Dylan Harper’s status against 76ers?
Spurs beat writer Jeff McDonald reported Wednesday night, “Dylan Harper will miss tomorrow’s Las Vegas opener while he returns to play from the minor groin injury.”
It sounds slightly concerning, but the good news is that McDonald also reported that Harper is expected to play in the Spurs’ Summer League game on Saturday against the Mavericks.

If it plays out that way, Harper will play against first overall pick Cooper Flagg for the first time in what could be the first of many games against one another with their new teams.
Harper was drafted second overall by the Spurs in the 2025 NBA Draft.
He played one year at Rutgers, averaging 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists.
